Safe to leave luggage on bike on ferry?
I'm taking my sv on a cross channel ferry for the first time tomorrow.
Is it safe to leave your luggage on it during the journey, when it's down there strapped to the deck? |

Put everything of value; money, camera, documents etc, in your tank bag take that with you, everything else will be fine.

It would just be a stuffsack with clothes, a tent, and a sleeping mat.
Nothing valuable, but still stuff I couldn't do without. |

My advice, don't leave anything on your bike. It may not cost much to replace certain items but it may be a day wasted going shopping when you could be riding.

I fitted the waterproof covers on my luggage - not so easy to just quickly unzip the pockets - not that anyone would want my underwear anyway! All vaulables were in my tankbag that I took with me...
