Swingarm pivot sliders on bike-can I still use an abba stand?
I have sliders on the Daytona pivot points which stick out maybe 4 inches one side and three the other. Should I still be able to use an abba stand? I've never seen one in the flesh but a second hand one has come up which I'd like.

I've got them on my SV and still use an abba stand no problem.

Cheers Chris. Do they go out as wide as mine? I've never seen them on an SV.

Mine are out like 2" from the swingarm.
However, an abba stand in use goes nowhere near the swingarm anyway.

Ahhh. (note to self... read the OP properly...)
You may need a totally different fitting kit that a stock 675 then. But it will still probably work. To find out you need to know the distance between the ends of those sliders, and what's the largest measurement an Abba stand can open to. (can't measure mine for you because I'm not at home)

Re: Swingarm pivot sliders on bike-can I still use an abba stand?
Or get the swingarm removal kit instead which screws into the frame in place of the top footrest hanger bolt.
The only thing i'd be concerned about is whether the arms of the stand will foul on the sliders when the bike is lifted onto the stand. I don't think they will as the whole point of the swingarm removal kit is that you can get the the swingarm pivot bolt, but am not 100% sure. |

I've told him I'll have it now. I've got two other bikes I can use it on and I reckon I might just get away with it. The Daytona isn't the widest of bikes.
