Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
My darling wife just phoned from the supermarket (Asda).
"They have a 15yo Dalwhinnie and a 15yo Glenfiddich at £23 and £24, do you want them?" |

This afternoon I've been sat sniffing and coughing, and now have a very large glass of my favourite. A Glenturret. Very pale, and who sooooo nice.

Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
15 year olds get you in trouble,I prefer 16 year old or something more matured than that even but they start to become expensive

Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
Very much enjoying a bottle of 18 year old Glenfiddich that an American mate of mine posted across the Atlantic because, well, it'd be wasted on him.
Good enough for me. |

Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
Found this place at the weekend
http://www.chesterwhisky.com/ What a great shop and very generous with their tasting bottles too! What a shame I was driving I bought a lovely 15yo Coal Ila at cask strength that they bottle themselves. Nectar. As they only have a little they sold it in half-bottles only for a very reasonable £23. After trying two others, a 15yo Springbank and a super-peated malt from Bunnahabhain in a black bottle (I forget the name) I bought a Longrow CV on their recommendation. Have to say the Longrow is absolutely LUSH. |
