saturday or/and sunday ride weekly event

every saturday or even sunday when there is not a lot to do at home
do any one want's to go for a ride?

lets see who wants saturdays and who wants sundays ....

and where everyone want's to go to....
and what time to meet up...

maybe it could be a weekley thing ?

A poll would be useful in this instance. Sat mornings are a winner for me, but as it is my gf's birthday this week, count me out.

I'm free at diff times at weekends.. Couldn't commit to a regular time or day as it cahnges every week. I'm free this sat morning till 12 if thats cool with anyone? I was thinking of searching my new area to find the holy grail of roads.. a la Top Gear..

Nick4 has hit the nail on the head. As we all have lives outside biking, noone can commit to a regular time/day, consistently every week.

On other weekends the weather may simply be pants, which is more likely as winter approaches.

Better to post up a proposal and then see who is available.

Flexibility is the key.

could we say sat and sundays...............10:00 shire horse be there for a ride..
if u want to....then just turn up.........if not then try sunday..
if u still cannot make it then it's no problem.....next weekend same time. same place..
but it would be nice to turn up........

sounds like the sort of thing that might help curb my alcohol ingestion which has gone thought the roof since blowing up my engine. TBH i dont care about times or distance or weather, i just like riding although there will obviously be times when im way too hung over to be doing anything on a bike on a weekend and i do work every fourth one which is a bit of a c0ck

Any particular ideas of a run for this weekend? I could be alright for Sunday.... Don't know about sat yet..as haven't decided if I'm going out fri night yet

Experience has proved trying to organise a regular weekend ride-out doesn't work. I'll be quite happy to be proved wrong though. It'll only take once or twice for people to turn up, find they are the only ones turning up, and then not bother again.

Much better to start a new poll each week for who is up for a ride. Hell it'll even get stickied until after the event.

Oh and as most know on here. Weekends for me are normally family orientated. Happy to try and get a midweek ride in now and then though.
