FRONT TYRE PRESSURE................
Can anyone tell me the ideal PSI for the front tyre on a SV650 2000 Wreg.
Got 30 in mine at the mo, but it feels a but unsure on bends and a bit twichy..... On closer inspection the tyre seems to be a rather strange shape.... Not 'round' as you'd expect. But: It seems to have a raised ridge in the centre of it and flat sides to the walls.............( that made no F'ing sence atall did it..??...) Almost as if it were over inflated....... Can you imagine a V instead of a U....?.............Well thats it in very basic terms..!!!!........... HELP........................ Alex. |

36 psi from memory - 30 is far too low!

Chazzyb is right but I've found that putting in 35psi at the front makes a huge difference to the way it turns into corners, far more composed and less twitchy. I also prefer the back slightly harder at 38.

So what makes my front tyre this strange shape..??
I allways thought over inflation made it look this way... |

Some tyres are supposed to be that shape Alex, Metlzelers and Pirellis tend to be on lovely round carcasses but some are sort of pointy, makes them faster to turn but some say less stable feeling and a little unpredictable. I've only ever used lovely round Metzelers so I couldn't speak for that.
