id love to hear what the can sounds like on it before the deal ends, if you do manage to get some video recordings of it id appreciate that!

Yep will certainly try - don't suppose anyone on here knows if a standard 125mm angle grinder disc is wide enough to go through a curvy exhaust while still on the bike? Placing it against the pipe it looks close...

We do recommend using a hacksaw, but if you are using an angle grinder then do two cuts to take a chunk out and then cut the rest of the way through.

Finally got round to tackling this (sorry Rob!) - for the benefit of anyone thinking of attempting the same the stock exhaust came off OK with the angle grinder while on the bike but had to bend and twist it to get through the last bit of metal closest to the swingarm. Unfortunately will have to wait till tomorrow for a vid as the link pipe had a 'sv650' sticker on it whuch is taking ages to peel off - don't want to start the bike with any of it on in case the heat cements it further.
