Re: decent disc lock alarm
I looked into the alarmed disc locks and ended up buying a normal one. The battery life seemed too poor but they may have improved a bit since then. A visible deterent is better than an audible one in most cases I find.

Re: decent disc lock alarm
I got one of these a couple of years ago. From a noise and visible deterrent perspective, it's good value and easily portable. It stays on the bike under a cover and hasn't given me any false alarms, even when it's windy.

Re: decent disc lock alarm
I've got an alarmed xena but took the battery out. I couldn't unlock out quick enough before it blew by ear drums out every time!

Re: decent disc lock alarm
yeah I'm hearing that a lot! I've cancelled my order of the abus one in the end . and bought the cheap one OP posted the link for. it is only a deterrent at the end of the day and I saved myself £90 to put towards a anti pinch pin and almax chain

Re: decent disc lock alarm
I originally bought a Xena and had problems with fitting the batteries without it going off and also unlocking it without activating.
Almax and an anti pinch pin is what I use at home. Great chain. |
