Two up?
It looks like I might be coming back to a bike after a few years without. I would happily get an SV again as I loved my old curvy and certainly don't need anything quicker.
However, provision for a pillion is a consideration this time and I was wondering if people had any thoughts on what it's like for a passenger on a SV compared to something with a one piece seat, like a bandit or CBRF? My partner is new to bikes and is a bit wary of being "high up".

Re: Two up?
My experiences with a curvy versus a VFR are that no pillion has complained either seat to more / less comfortable. The VFR has a one piece seat.
Pillion peg placement on the other hand, some pillions complained the pegs were a bit high on the curvy. I've never taken a pillion on a pointy. |

Re: Two up?
Slidey issues fixed with a triboseat. And my seat has been replaced with a bagster one piece unit instead, which also helps a lot with comfort for both rider and pillion. No peg issues but my pillion has rather diminutive dimensions.

Re: Two up?
My wife has been pillion on all my bikes over our 33 years together, and the only one she didn't like (surpisingly) was the BMW R1150RT as it hurt her hips inexplicably. I thought she would hate the SV650S but she's fine with it.

Re: Two up?
Thank you very much for the input, it is greatly appreciated. From a pillion perspective, is there much difference between faired/naked?

Re: Two up?
Faired bike she will be a bit more exposed - sell it to her as a better view!

Re: Two up?
Anyone know if a high level exhaust has any impact on pillion comfort? Curvy if it matters.

Re: Two up?
Shouldnt do if its mounted under the pillion peg instead of replacing the peg with a hanger. Thats how my Curvy was and I had the other half on all the time
