Tomthetim's Pointy Build
Hi everyone, newly signed up to the forum but I've been lurking in the shadows for a couple of years now!
2 years ago I bought my pointy, K4 Grand Candy Blue. Since then I've had nothing but bad luck. Naff reg/rec, found out it was sold to me with bent forks (Thank Ahmed from Leicester for that one, p****), then having a slide on some leaves, then having it kicked over in the street by drunks. Safe to say by this point, it looks a bit rough. So I decided to make a project of it. To date the upgrades include- GSXR K3 750 front end All Balls Headstock bearings GSXR K5 1000 Shock Tl1000r Clip ons Renthal Grips SV1000 Brakes Bronze Bodywork throughout Custom Leather seat from "firma_wijalis" (I cannot recommend these enough for the service and price) Black Double Bubble Screen Bar end Mirrors Tail Tidy Rear Hugger I also have a Remus can that I need to chop down (its a little long for my liking at the moment) Anywho... Just wanted to share what was going on with the build. Still loads of work left to do, but progress is slow. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions. Will try to get some pictures up as the build progresses. Cheers everyone |

Re: Tomthetim's Pointy Build
As requested here are a few snaps of the project so far.
First you'll see the horrid beaten up old bodywork and forks. Then the new front end and ss lines fitted. And the introduction of some new body work. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jcwwguvsg...ufY_1REZa?dl=0 |
