Dog bone dilemmas

My head is throbbing so can the org please assist me with the following.......

On a 2002 s curvy,

1) what is the centre to centre dimension of standard rear dog bones?

2) does the standard bone have anything stamped in the side of it?

3) what is the centre to centre dimension of lowering bones 25mm and 40mm.

4) what is the centre to centre of bones required to drop a pointy by 40mm ( as I think that is what I have ended up with lol )

Not sure of measurement but I fitted some 40mm bones last year but it didn’t drop the seat 40 MM!i never measured it but it made a good difference that the standard ones.When I put them side by side the difference in the hole centres isn’t very much to look at.......maybe Bibio will know...in fact I know he will know

bib's has no idea of the standard curvy dogbone length but i do know that for every +-1mm between the eyes its 10mm at the tail of the bike. the pointy is for every +-1mm at the eyes its around 18mm at the tail of the bike. but in reality the manufacturers stick to 1mm=10mm and you will notice this if you measure the standard against the replacements.

it stands to reason that the standard curvy bones will be shorter than the pointy ones. i can measure the standard pointy ones but you have to remember that the curvy shock is also longer. the shorter the bones the taller at the rear and visa versa.

looking at the parts fiche suggests that the standard curvy bones will be stamped 20F and the pointy are stamped 17G (i know for a fact that the pointy are 17G). just checked and yes the curvy standard bones are stamped 20F

if you are that concerned then just buy some standard bones from ebay or someone on here.

My dog bones are 110mm centre to centre, and I'm pretty sure they're standard OEM length.

I do have some other dog bones, but I'll have to track them down to measure them

Be interest to see what happens here, my sv is lowered and I want to go back to stock or higher. Was lowered by previous owner.

centres on the standard pointy dogs are 142mm

Mine at the moment have 20f stamped on them, so would appear standard, will measure up when they come off probably on the weekend ( weather looks foul so might get some shed time )
