Default Best way to fit chain and sprockets?

So?,

ive got my shiny new supersprox rear and my normalskl front, ive gone up one tooth on the back so now its the same gearing as the naked. didnt want to go up much more cos i want to still have the top end (for my private road) and i dont want it crusing at much higher revs than it does now....

whats the best way to fit a chain without a chain tool?, i know this can be done as people i know have done it, but whats the best way, getting it off is no prob ill just cut it with the dremmel , after loosning the fornt sprocket of course.......

best way, is to fit a spring link and ride it down to a man that can.

but if not then you could press on the plate with moles to get it started, then use a heavy object behind and tap it down ( I use an old bench vice) with a small socket over the pin (alternating between the two), then finish off by crowning the the pins with a punch and hammer.

word of warning though, make sure not to crush the "o" rings to much, some chains come with a spacer for fitting, if not grap something as a thin shim.

Cheers Mark.
