Default Stolen SV650 or 1000???

Someones asked from another forum whether anyones had an SV nicked recently.

Hes not sure if its a 650 or 1000 though. What he does say is its been there for 4 days untouched, the ignition looks like its been damaged, and its not normally a place you would park a bike hence him thinking its been nicked rather than someone parking it.

Its a blue SV reg No GJ 52 HNA. If this is anyones bike, please pm me. I can give you the guys number.

Is there no register kept by the police to check if its stolen at all?

Perhaps phone them...even if it is just "suspicious"...

someone with legit access to the PNC?

I'd love to help cos I have access to it via work, but only for work purposes (and every access we request is checked)

Sorry I should have mentioned he called the police 3 days ago. And bikes still there and appears theyve done nothing about it if it is.

It may not be, but he suspects it is given the damage to the ignition.

Easy to fix, put an illegal can on it and small reg plate then ring 'em. They will be there in minutes

I found an old RF900 once, the one that has the HUGE long tail section!

Told plod, not interested, got a neighbour who is plod to check it out, turns out it was from the Isle of Man,so they had no records.

Anyway,I kept it,got it running,(badly)and sold it.

Nobody cares,(plod I mean),I kept it untouched in a garage, with the police informed of where it was,and who had it,for 6 months before I sold it.

tell plod there's a thing looking like a waistcoat with canisters on it and wires coming out hanging on the handlebars, there'll be a couple of hundred round in a tick. Otherwise, forget it.

It would almost certainly be a 650 with a 52 registration.

Just done an HPI check on it and its an SV 650 SK2. Not comming up as stolen though but it does take a while to add it to the register.

Possibly been there too long now to be broken down.
