Brands Hatch GP! 12 APRIL
Anyone doing the FE event at Brands Gp? Not done the GP circuit before (done Indy 6 or 7 times) so looking forward to it. I'll be on a FE GSXR 600 hire bike if anyone is going

Have fun mate it's an awesome track out the back into the country!
Remember to turn in ALOT later into surtees than if you were doing the indy, cause it tightens up like a bitch ha! |

Damn! I would have been there to do some photography if it wasn't for a conferance I have to attend
damn damn damn Have fun! Last time I went to a track day, I saw the hire bikes (R6's that time)...they looked kinda poorly prepared, I wouldn't have wanted to ride one |

Hey Luke, I sold the 750 when we moved house in October. Was going to be temporary but new kitchen, new boiler, new electrics etc etc etc have put paid to that (unless someone can source a nice GSXR600K2 for £1500!).
I hired the R6 last year for Silverstone, it was awesome. The fairing was shodding but everything else was spot on. However, this year they have GSXR600, ZX6R, CBR600 and 848 (for an extra £25). Priced have gone up though. Last year it was £300 for any track day (premium on Brands GP) but now it's £250 for bike hire plus track day cost so this one is £450. Excess gone up a bit from £500 to £525. The trouble with their 'excess' is they charge it regardless of damage. My mate dropped the R6 last year and damaged the fairing which was basically tape, brake lever and rear foot brake lever. They said is was £500 regardless that the damage was about £100. That said, the most you can lose is £525 if you write it off so cheaper than dropping your own roaqd bike most of the time. Neil, I bought NFS Shirt just to do the GP laps and I thought Surtees was a mid bend apex, how wrong I was, it's impoosibly late turn in and apex 3/4 way round. Bit nervous about some of the GP circuit as it appears a bit blind, especially the right kink that drops away before the left on to clearways..... A* - gutted, I'd have been chuffed if you had been able to come down as I've seen some of your picture which are really good, better than the supply photographer.
