I agree with Fallout. Make it a 'mass' ride out with a national invitation. All you need is a pub with a field next to it, and a route for a ride out. Plus it gives you a bit more time to plan it and flexible dates.

Another "club" I'm in does this - a natioanlly organised annual rally but lots of camping weekends organised by local centres or anyone else that feels like it. Works very well. If a GM camping weekend works well you can consider stepping up to the AR for the year after.

The Bidding for the AR all Hush hush .
Plan yours .If its not selected just Post it as national invite.
All you need is good roads,Good markers some fluro vests and a camp site .
2nd man marking is not so hot on big ride outs and having pepes with local road knowledge make for a better pace.

Not sure if we should let Gav be a marker though, seeing as he tends to pull into people's drive ways then fall asleep with his arms flailing in every direction. Those shapes should be confined to the dancefloor only, and probably not a dancefloor any of us would ever like to visit.

Look, you said to mark and I marked!

Actually its kudos to me, two people went the wrong way and got lost, then after a quick montage of me working out and doing slow motion round house kicks whilst going "eeeuuulllllggfhhhh!!!" I then harnessed the power of grey skull and used my local knowledge to round them up and deliver them back to the group that was 10 miles away. Didn't see you doing that Mr " sexually confused whine about everything crap bike"

But, the thing about marking is that you don't go and get the ones who messed up. If you see somebody screw up you wait til the tail end charlie turns up and then wait until the plonkers realise they aren't goint the right way and turn back. That way, everybody can stay together, albeit with a brief wait at the last junction for a while, or even a long wait ....lol

I did, I didn't move until Nath had gone past the right way. Then in engaged hyper drive.

It was that damn tom causing all the problems again, I think he should be forced to buy my breakfast for eternity

Lol, fair play then. I can't judge as I went the right way so don't know the full circumstances......
Anyway, it all adds to the day.

Everyone survived to make it home and no bums were fiddled with so in all a good day

Anyway, what area are we thinking of? Taking in the meon? Don't know of any campsites around loomies sort of area but there are a few MX tracks, some might know of a local pub with a rally field or something. I think a pub in close proximity is essential just in case the weather doesn't play ball.

A pub with a field is ideal. Of all the club camping trips I did you can relax more if you're not conscious of disturbing other punters on a site. If they have a function room for a band/disco then all the better.

Might be an idea to check with branches of one-make or national clubs in the area to see what sites they favour. Getting some feedback on facilities and attitude of the owner/publican would give a head start.
