More than welcome, its not a fast ride, its more of a scenic bimble through the countryside with your mates.
Just follow the bike in front of you and just enjoy it, no need to worry about reading a map or getting lost as its a guided ride and there will be markers at every junction showing you which way to go. Just relax and enjoy it. We're a friendly bunch so just turn up and join in.

Basically, what happened was that I turned up, and started pitching my tent. Before I'd finished someone (Stewie) handed me a beer. I think that sums up the spirit of the group. The first evening, two blokes cooked a barbecue, which we all pitched in a few pennies for. A fair bit more drinking was done. Anna got her ropes (or were they chains?) out & set fire to them to give us a demonstration of her twirling fire around, whilst everyone else continued to drink. At various stages, people went to bed. Usually when they decided they'd drank too much. The next day, I shot off quite early & got some breakfast with a couple of the others. Then the organised, guided ride around as has already been explained. After that, IIRC, everyone packed up & went their separate ways. Guys/Girls, does that describe a typical AR? PS. You're 17, so we will have to drink your alcohol for you. |

Re: Can anyone go on the rideout!
The only thing I would add to Baphs post is that the majority of drinking and fun was after the ride on the Saturday evening....."cough" Hovis "Cough".
Trust me, you will love it, two nights of camping with lots of like minded people all having a laugh. Last year the route was brilliant but...... and this is by no means a bad point.........the part I remember least about it???? The ride out, cause all the socialising parts were Ammmmmaaaaaazzzzzziiiiiinnnnngggggg.

Re: Can anyone go on the rideout!
No, not anyone can go on the rideout, nor can anyone join in the week end's fun...
My Mother is definately NOT allowed to be there, nor my Sister, and one or two people I can think of but won't name As for what it's like.. have a look at the photos of previous years. I think they give a pretty fair and complete view of the style of event. Messie PS Newbie are especially welcome. Bear bait!!
