Default Hardy bikers recce

Just back from a couple of days hols with Mrs B - cheated, car involved.

The only real concerns, excluding weather, is potholes. Not loads but be aware they are lurking about.

Although hopefully not relevant to next week, the temps varied from +5C to -1C depending on elevation.

Anyone travelling from Teesside/Durham be aware that the A66 has been scalped, prior to resurfacing, just before Bowes Moor. Plenty of gravel and raised manholes etc.

Looking forward to some craic, and a curry.

Bri

Potholes everywhere and particularly on the back roads where its chuck it down and wait for it to bed in. The poor weather will cost the councils £millions in repairs as they'll have to do something about it.

I'm going over on Friday morning to do a partial recce. To my parents house, then down to Lancaster for the evening, to meet you all at Forton Services on Saturday, I was thinking, instead of going up the M6 why not get off at Lancaster and go to Devils the back road way, A683, cracking road.

New Route...

Its been snowing tonight as well and on and off the last couple of days so if your coming up prepeare to be frozen the roads seem to be okay til around 6ish after that if they dont have plenty of cars on there getting fairly icy.
