That was un-expected.
or the Perils of Dual Compound tyres!
Just been advised by the dealer that my front tyre has very little tread (2mm) left on the shoulders..... loads of tread on the centre where I usually look / check. It seems that living round here my bike spends much less time upright. I believe Pete and Lissa had a similar problem with their PR2 front. So looks like I'm in the market for tyres! @rse! (well gonna try and sneak another 1K miles out of it, the rear is only 2K miles old) Don't like the Bridgestones anyway Anyone else had this issue? |

Re: That was un-expected.
Not me.
But I'm getting the same wear rates out of a rear Conti Road attack as I am from a SC Pro SC2 rear. Now that is weird! C Last edited by Berlin; 07-03-08 at 07:37 PM. |

Re: That was un-expected.
The Z6's on Liz' SV are the same much more wear on the shoulders than the centre, especially on the front, I guess its down to individual riding style.

Re: That was un-expected.
Yup I had that with the OE BT019 on the front of the Zed and the Road Attack is going a similar way....

Re: That was un-expected.
I wore my OE Mez4 out that way, well the front anyway, the rear went square and the front lost the edges and ended up kinda sharp profile.

Re: That was un-expected.
Front has almost 8K on it. The annoying thing is I changed the rear at 6K and the front was fine then.......... Don't want more Bridgestones so might have to junk the rear early!

Re: That was un-expected.
Why the dislike of B'stones LP? I've just fitted BT-014's and already they seem to be really good Can't wait until they've been properly scrubbed in
