The surf thread...
So who on here surfs?
Long/short board? Holiday only or whenever a set is coming through? Local break? Favourite wave? Biggest fright? |

Re: The surf thread...
Nobody?
I was in at Saltburn last night, a mellow evening session on the longboard, a fair few waves. A bit small/blown out tonight so I didn't bother. |

Re: The surf thread...
I have a 1970's longboard, I think it's a Bilbo. Not been used for a few years, but I have many good memories of cruising on swells off Cornish beaches. I had a new fin box fitted a while ago after the original split on a rock.
We're off to Cornwall next year, so an airing is due... Pete |

Re: The surf thread...
I've been meaning to try this in UK. I did a few lessons over in Noosa, Australia and loved it.

Re: The surf thread...
Tried it on holiday last year in Pembrokeshire with an instructor. There were two other "schools" out on the same really gentle beach with light swells.
I was shattered after half an hour... Doubt I will be trying it again somehow as my love for Lady Poppy's cooking and my age were clearly against me!
