How important is......
the length of the rear caliper hanger.
I bought, on the off chance it would fit, a caliper hanger from a Bandit 400 cos it looked kinda nice and a bit different. As luck would have it, it's a perfect fit spindle wise and the shape is the same. However it's about 5 -8 mm longer, meaning the pads will bear in a slightly different place and presumably won't sweep all the disc now. What do peeps think, before I go to the trouble of polishing up this little gem? Well, actually Lissa goes to all the trouble. |

will if you say the one you want 2 put on is 5-8mm longer then thats gona take your pads up/of the disk around 5-8mm then stick it on and see if your pads are going 2 be on the disk much and go by that really.

This smaller size difference wouldn't cause a problem Pete, quite common with Suzuki!

Re: How important is......
Was gonna stick it on and try and I am aware that if all the pad doesn't bear on the disc I'll eventually have pads that will touch without applying pressure on the disc itself. That's just a case of keeping a constant watch on them. Just wondered if there was any other problems. Guess not
Thanks guys |

I suppose you could oval some of the holes. Maybe fill them afterwards with chemical metal. But that might be idiotic, I'm unsure It does look nice though.

Re: How important is......
Considering the low power needed from the back brake anyway I'm sure it'll be fine. You're reducing your area by going wavy anyway eh?

Re: How important is......
I ride two up everywhere, so actually rely on the back brake a lot. 6k to a set of pads. And I've already got a wavy on. Yes I am a tart!
