Default Intercom Advice

My daughter and I like to go out on the bike as often as the weather and the wife allow.
I have been looking around at intercoms etc but cannot decide which is best or best value for money etc. It needs to simple to operate for my daughter who is 9 and comfortable etc.
Any ideas advice / experience in this area etc.

P.S i am not made of money so budget - ish is best.

P.P.S needs to be two way

Tried a couple of cheapo ones and they were pants. Could not handle noise at high speed. Used a autocom one on my old VFR and it was superb. could play radio to and modern ones can hook up to a phone (so there's a good reason for not getting one)

You get what you pay for, I guess.

Seconded.

I tried a cheap set which waas very uncomfortable (plastic earphone in your ear) and useless over 40mph.

I bought an Autocom and it is a great bit of kit - can still hear each other at stupid speeds, even with earplugs in. The stereo sound quality when listening to an MP3 is excellent - the music automatically gets quiter when either of you speak.
