Default Novice friendly Cadwell park trackday

Possibly the bestest trackday in the world.

if you've never been on a track before and fancy it then this is *the* one to go for.

http://ruffle.me.uk/cadwell

Fingers crossed I'll be there too

Yep, two days (plus a bonus track evening) riding round and round (and round and round) in circles in the glorious Lincolnshire countryside for £170.

Noise limit is 105dB, my race silencer'd SV700 passes (and thats *loud*) so unless you have a stupidly short can or no silencer at all you should be fine!

Unlike some trackdays where its a bit of a free for all the organisers make an effort to make it a friendly event, ride like an idiot (ie cutting people up etc) and you will get chucked out. For that reason though its ideal for a first trackday.

I've seen a TLR fail at 112dB before...

That said there were at least two there last year (and I think also a TLS) so its not like they wont pass.

If you're only in Lincoln I'd be tempted to be sneaky and pop down one morning, pretend to be on a trackday and get them to noise test it.

You can always move up a group if you get faster!

They are crying out for riders in the slower groups because the regulars are getting faster and faster, some (like me) who have done ~7 of them for example are getting a bit nippy round there!

The word from the organiser is:

Quote:
Don't think so.

If you look at the ex-race trackday bikes (like mine) there's no upper
chain guard. There *is* however a lower chain guard (shark's fin sort
of thingie) to stop bodly bits being dragged into the sprocket; I think
that's mandated by the ACU.

However... for an Eeyore I don't think we need to make an issue of it.
