Default Go-Karting, where?

OK, as you might remember, a while back I asked about non-biking activites that BP'ers may be interested in. Go-Karting seems to be the more popular of the options (going by the polls). No other suggestions have been made yet, but that's no biggy.

I figured the first thing to do would be to sort out where people wanted to go. Where people felt comfortable going to in terms of distance from home etc. Since we cover a pretty large area, I know this could be a problem for some, and we want to try & get as many people as possible involved.

So, with that in mind, the options (that I know of):

- Glan-y-Gors, just off the A5 near Cerrig. This is a 1100m track, outdoor, but using "indoor" karts. Prices: Standard "arrive & drive" £15/10mins. They have two Grand Prix options. 800m track for £40 each (2-4 hours). 1100m track for £50 each (3-5 hours). Map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...=12&iwloc=addr

- Anglesey (not on Trac Mon! ). 400m track, again, outdoor, with indoor karts. Prices: "Arrive & drive" £10/12mins. Grand Prix's £20-£25 per person, no track length options, prices vary due to time on track for each race. Map here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?f=q...,0.035362&z=15

- RedLine in Caernarfon. I can't see the track length, but it's indoor. Arrive & drive £13/15mins. Grand Prix's £22pp or £30pp. Again, prices are due to time on track, not the length of track. Map here: http://www.redlineindoorkarting.co.uk/online-map.html

- Glasfryn Park. 600m track, outdoor with indoor karts. £5 for 6 mins. Grand Prix £20pp. Map here: http://www.glasfryn.co.uk/find_glasfryn.htm

- Abergele. 900m track, outdoor with indoor karts. £35 for Grand Prix, doesn't look like they offer Arrive & Drive. Map here: http://www.adventure-company.co.uk/map.html

- Queensferry. Indoor track with 150m section outdoor. Also has a "Monaco" style tunnel. Track is 900m long. Price dependant on number of atendees. Ranges from £850 (max 20 drivers, so £42.50 each) through to £1762.50 (max 50 drivers). If you want to share with non .Orgers, they run Grand Prix's on sundays for £25pp. Map here: http://www.thecircuit.co.uk/map.htm

If anyone knows of any other places, let me know. Poll will be added in a minute.

I should probably say that the poll is multiple option, so you can pick more than one.

No idea about dates yet, I wanted to get a feel of where folks wanted to go.

7 people have voted, but I counted 16 different people that replied to the original thread saying they were interested - and we've had a few new comers to the area since then.

I'm on nights the next fortnight, so will start looking at dates after that. I reckon we're looking probably May some time to avoid rideouts clashing etc. Maybe June even...
