Absolutely really sorry to hear about all the offs and smashes but it was hardly out of the blue was it?

I mean it's not as if folks got to work and had no option but to ride home.

As Tim Wilky posted on another thread if it's the least bit icy let alone snowy then the bike stays put.

I appreciate that for some peeps a bike is the only form of transport, don't know how you get around that. Lift from a workmate or family member maybe. Or even public transport.

Please everybody, think if you really really need to use your pride and joy on days like these.

Afraid thats the thing, if its your only way of getting to work. People are getting caught out, as it shouldn't be like this until at least Dec, and even then the snow fall up here is minimal til the other side of Xmas.
Matt has an old banger for winter, but I have to use either one of mine to get to work, I said in another thread 5.30 am on a February morning is ermmmm interesting, on the verge of loonacy, but if it ain't frozen in my back garden, I get the bike out, if its forecast sleet or snow I have to get a taxi....expensive.
I have to get Dave out soon as it hasn't been ridden since I fell off, but its a necessity,, I have to get it run and I will be back to work soon.

Be careful guys, it unnaturally frosty out there, don't get caught out

I took the car today, it is clearly not biking weather. I am lucky enough to have that option though!

I had the option of the car for once as my wife is away but thought with it being the first real frost it would be ok, even took the back lane to work (stupidest idea of the day) had to take it real slow but made it to work rubber side down, god knows how as when I got off the bike the car park I was almost skating into work, god bless the Michelin man
Sorry to hear about the people that have had issues though, hope everything mends quickly.
