Re: Credit Card Fraud....again
I got done recently also. Credit card company spotted the dodgy transaction and contacted me. Dunno how the thief got my details as I am almost paranoid about identity theft.
Total of about £600 in 3 transactions. |

Re: Credit Card Fraud....again
preciscley, if they steal the credit card details its not my money.
I have no idea, i do use it online but they are "good" sites well known and usually secure, I was on holiday last week and it could have happened then, but i only used it twice, onces in a surf shop and once at...... a petrol station, (esso) the card is cancelled and the bank informed and i have yet to find a reciept for the £30 just incase i sleep spent... i will get the money back, its just the same ol rigmaroll... |

No reason to be paranoid though... Just get your cards through a reputable company, check your statements, report any fraud, get your money back. It can take a little time but as long as you don't do anything stupid you're covered. Most real banks will do a refund pretty fast, it took me 5 days through Egg, 7 days through Halifax. Though Egg have IMO gone downhill.
