Once the fitter finished installing our new front door (at last!) I changed into shorts. He's coming back tomorrow to sort a few snagging issues and I didn't want to scare him It was positively autumnal yesterday morning, complete with mist, summer today, it'll probably snow tomorrow

Hi Gary - bright & breezy here, rain by lunchtime according to the Weathertron so an hour or two out this morning, I think.

Drizzling here on and off and only 15 degrees or so. Compare that to the 30 degrees plus of this very weekend last year in Wales on tour with Gary. So hot then, so rubbish now.

The forecast is for a nice afternoon so I might get out for a ride today, but we'll see.

We were out sharpish yesterday for a day out with the grandson at Astle Park Steam Traction Rally, so didn't see the weather updates. It persisted down most of the way there and we had two heavy showers in the morning, but it brightened up and the afternoon was sunny. A good day out with a 4 year old. Unfortunately, the rain meant I went out without a hat and now have a face like a tomato!

Well, that went well yesterday. 20 miles from home it started drizzling and I could see that I was riding into heavier rain.

So I took a detour trying to avoid it, which worked for a while but it got me in a pincer movement. Got p1ssing wet through. Summer, eh?
