I'm desperate to try mine out tbh, if the weathers decent tomorrow I might go the waterman for a couple of hours.

ive noticed this and im guessings its because of the harder compund centre section? Even avon said it wasnt required when they released them so in the quest for better wear maybe its lost some grip when upright?

Still undecided. I can get pilot road 3 for £225, dunlop roadsmarts for£220 or pilot road 2 for £200????
I'm sure they're all far better than me. I'm edging towards pr3 but unsure about wear rate.

Dan, was that to loose wheels the prices you've been quoted ?

Pretty much everyone whose had pr3's has paid about the same as me, my tyres have a higher number in brackets to the ones on wheelhouse's website which added £15 straight away.

The PR2's was only £8 difference.

No Phil, Just delivered. But RJS Superbikes down the road from me at Mallory Park only charge me £25 ride in ride out for fitting.

That's ok then, not far off my price then, I just didnt want to find out I'd paid shed loads more than I should have.

Tried the PR3's today, put about 120-130 miles on them today, seem ok tbh, haven't really seem much rain so not sure what they are like in that respect.

It's nice having new tyres though, rolls into corners with no effort, but I'd get that I think with any new tyre.

Did notice they felt slightly warmer when I stopped so maybe carrying more heat generally.

I be very interested on what mileage you get out of the PR3 's on the sprint

To be honest I'm on my 5th set of avon storms and they are great tyres esp in the wet , don't belive the bad press ....

Used to get 8k out of a set on the sv , and the sprint I recon will get 6-7k which is good for a heavy and powerfull bike

Will be also looking at the michelin pilot road

Cheers Steveg
