Sv failed the MOT on a couple of things, including no tail lamp. Aparently this is a new requirement, as the light from the rear light doesn't count any more.

As mine has an aftermarket LED fitted, I had just about enough of problems & was going to refit the snowplough and standard lights & indicators.

I'd started taking out the rear fairing screws & fixings, when I noticed a bare wire. Turns out the bullet connector had come off the spindly LED light wire. One new bullet connector later & its now working again, saved a bit of time & I can take it back tomorrow.

First thing that's gone right for a while

Found my internet speeds on this Dell laptop were woefully slow. Checked various things as recommended by the service provider, found my old laptop was reasonably quick (60/10 down/up on a 150 service), the Dell was 10/10.
Searching the problem soon came up with issues relating to "Smartbyte" installed on Dell PCs.
Uninstalled it and back to 90/10, which is about what I'd expect. Just have to make sure it doesn't re-install (which some folk report it does depending on settings).

Glad to be alive.
Rode the motorcycle to see my grandson yesterday at a hospital about 100 miles away .
Got hit by a car at traveling at 65 mph or better.

I was between two cars riding at the speed limit (65) when my assailant passed the car behind me and assumed there was an empty space in between and dived in.

Hit my left foot and sheared off the left foot peg and sent the bike sailing towards the side of the road but I somehow managed to keep it in the road even with it going into a 'death wobble' when it straightened up.

The foot is very sore and very swollen but not broken and the bike is still rideable so lots to be thankful for.

Never heard of a bike taking that kind of impact at that speed and not crashing.
Deffinately a miracle that I'm alive and not terribly injured or worse.....maybe two or three.
It just wasn't my time to go.

Suffering with the foot today but glad to be alive and still have the sv!

5H1T!!! Bill, that sounds just too close for comfort matey. Hope your foot heals quickly and the bike is repairable. Did you manage to get the driver's number, did they stop?
Jeez, scary stuff. Bloody glad you're still with us and able to report the incident.
