Do any Pointys have a light switch?
Do early pointies have an on/off switch for the headlights?
Im finding it a bit annoying my `56 plate pointys lights cant be turned off if the bike is running. Im a big boy now so know when Id like to switch them on or off. Or will another suzuki unit fit, dont suppose a curvy unit is any good due to the choke lever. A straight swap would be nice, but fitting new crimps and plug no biggie. Thanks, Lee |

IIRC on the Curvy the light on/off switch is on the right hand side |

Re: pointy light switch
no you cant just use another switchgear as the k5> has cut while staring circuit.
but there is nothing to stop you putting an inline switch in. but why would you want to as having lights on is better than off. |

Re: pointy light switch
Thanks bibio, yeah I noticed the lights cut out while starting, sometimes I find theres a need for not having my lights on. (although not while riding)
cheers, Lee |

I'm the same on this one and would like a hidden switch to knock lights off while starting and working on the bike.
I made suggestion to bib in one of his threads but the lights of during ignition is not what I want and I have other financial priorities right now. Take a look at the kits from eastern beaver. There well pricey but exactly what your after. Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

Re: pointy light switch
if it's just for maintenance then i'm sure you could just pull the fuse out.

Re: Do any Pointys have a light switch?
Would it pass a MOT with the switch on it?
I thought it was law for all new bikes after a certain time to have lights switched on automatically? |

Re: Do any Pointys have a light switch?
I`d imagine construction and use regs, and mots differ slightly anyway if that is the case.

Re: Do any Pointys have a light switch?
yes it will pass an MOT. there is as of this moment no law regarding daytime running lights. it was the bike manufacturers that made the decision to add them to bikes.
