LED headlight conversion
All,
Has anyone got experience with these ones? http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/exterio...adlight-kit-g4 I was thinking on trying one on the Gladys as for four months my commuting is in dark. |

Re: LED headlight conversion
There are some beam pattern pics here. They don't look great. I think to get decent ones you would be spending a lot more

Re: LED headlight conversion
Someone on another forum got an H4 LED from http://www.dynamoregulatorconversion...ycles-shop.php
The guy who runs it seems to be a genuine sort by all accounts. The lamp they do looks exactly like the gen3 version at the site you linked to, but at half the price. Just an option. The forum member seemed pretty happy with it, but I can't vouch for the comparison versus a decent modern lamp like an Osram or Philips. If you do go for the gen4 version please post up your findings. At lest there's a 10% discount voucher on offer at the moment.

Its a hot wire ie it looks like this -. Hid arc light sorce is shaped different so that's what causes bleed over. Led Cree source is again different. So just need the appropriate reflector.

Re: LED headlight conversion
Bibio you're absolutely right. Osram Nightbreaker bulbs are superb. Most of my commute at this time is on an unlit A road and they can light up the path ahead like the Sun on full beam and still be useful dipped. Best £12 upgrade I made to the bike.

Re: LED headlight conversion
In the car I prefer Philips X-treme Vision.
But osram are cheaper and better than standard
