Re: Vintage film cameras
Have you got any plans for places you really want to visit? I can never remember what bit you are visiting.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Not really. I'm based in Chengdu. Visited a few local places last year. Possibly a few more to do but I'd really like to get out to Jiuzhaigjou - think that's spelt correctly. It's meant to be beautiful but it's a 2 day visit; a bit much to squeeze into a weekend. Google image it.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Any good flea markets around there? Seen someone trying to sell an OM 1 on ebay for £350. Trips are up around £45-£75 in antique shops.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'll have a look; see if I can find any treats.
The second hand camera shops tend to be expensive here. Going rate for OM1 looks to be around £70 or so. My local camera shop has one for £120 but that's with a 50mm Zuiko, cla and a guarantee. Trips are well overpriced these days. Better quality rangefinders cost not much more. Hell, can get a B.I.N. Rc 35 for not much more and that's a Streets ahead camera. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Been looking at a Polaroid SX70 but even the faulty ones are around £50 bin. I think prices are still on the up, so looks like we did our collecting at the right time.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's pretty cool, I was thinking along the lines of a total dismantle and putting in a box frame. I think it has been done before but I cannot find the pictures.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I did wonder about putting something like an Ikonta 35 in a box frame but it would need to be pretty deep - if it had glass in it.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Did anyone do any shooting this weekend? We haven't been anywhere so all I did camera-wise is buy the X700.
