Suspension (again, I know, sorry!!)
I'm hoping someone can maybe offer me a few pointers with what I assume must be something to do with my suspension set up.
I am a new(ish) SV owner/biker - this is my 1st bike & only passed my test late last year... so there is every possibility that this is just 'me', but anyway... Basically, I always seem to find myself (read as groin!) squished onto the tank after a short period of riding. Obviously it happens more when braking, but I always feel like I'm too high at the back of the bike, and that there's a danger of me couping over the front at some point. I've tried sitting further back in the seat, but I always end up sliding forward and into the tank, which makes braking etc a bit of a shocker!! Does is sound like there's anything I could adjust with the suspension to improve this? Does anything I've said make any sense!? Oh, mine's a 2000 Curvey, with a Hagon shocker on it if that makes any difference? Cheers JM |

Ah... now normally, that'd be easy - but I've got the shortest legs known to man-kind (5foot10 ish, but approx 29" leg!)

If you're still sliding when gripping with your knees then try some stomp pads.

Maybe worth a go, but I bet it's your technique more than anything, I had the same trouble.

After talking with a squeak when ever I used the front brakes I learn't to grip with the knees and now I don't even notice I'm doing it but I don't talk with a squeak!

You could try covering the seat in some of that non-slip webbing too, a few people on here have put in on their pillion seat to stop passengers sliding forwards, so I can't see why you couldn't use it on the rider's seat too.

Re: Suspension (again, I know, sorry!!)
You can tell when you really need to think about a change if you get off the bike and find there's 2 dints at the back of the tank
