DIY carbon-kevlar tank

Hi people,
Due to certain things happening in my life atm i have LOTS of spare time.
I was thinking about making a DIY carbon-kevlar tank, originally it was gunna be a carbon tank but then had more thoughts and carbon-kevlar made more sense for soemthing that will be more crash resistance.
I wonder if anyone has tryed anything like this before in the past and to what results? I plan on using the bottom of a pointy's tank as a base and use blue polystyrene foam to create a mold which will then be used to build the carbon-kevlar cloth over until 1.5-3mm thick.
The tank will then have a filler hole cut in it, and cellulose thinners used to melt the polystyrene.
I have a curvy and going to fit fuel injection so using a pointy's base makes more sense as it already has the fuel pump intergrated into it.
The only problem that stikes me is making a symetrical mould... any ideas how to overcome this?
If it works out I will be making a few tanks for people as requests.. and prices will not be massive like most suppliers.
