It was very cold, my hands where so cold they hurt after each session. I don't know whether I just wasn't getting enough heat into my front tyre but I nearly lost the front a couple of times. Skulked of home with two sessions still to go..... |

Re: Donnington 16/02/08
A lady came up to me in the Cafe at lunch with a camera and showed me a photo she had taken of me which looked really good.
I asked her to email it to me as it was a cracking picture. I just couldn't get into it today, combination of factors I think. The main one being having no faith in the front end. I think today was my little SV's last trackday. I want a track bike that I can really go for it on and not be too bothered if I hurl it into the scenery I would be very upset if I binned my SV, plus I wouldn't be able to get home |

Only my opinion but unless you upgrade forks etc. the sv isnt really built for regular track days. |

Hehe - They've (not you Lyle) got the 'pushing a shopping trolley' riding style off pretty good!

Hey nice photo lylej looks like you had a fun time!
I know what you guys meant by the cold Brands wasn't that warm but got lucky with the weather for sure that day, I used my heated grips on the last session as I was cold I would do a track day in the summer, will feel different as your not cold, being cold zaps your energy fast and you tire quicker, its worth being fit if you gonna do a few track days. Lets hope Silverstone will be warmer, probally a good job I didn't come up I haven't been feeling great for the past week, so I wouldn't have enjoyed it. |
