Default Anyone drive in to work today?

Or did you not dare?

My bike was under 2 inches of snow so I took the train (which was crap).

I'm not in until 3, but I'm planning on taking the train, which will also be crap. I live in harrow and work in battersea, so it's 2 buses and 3 tubes for me, taking about an hour and a half. And that's without the crap weather to contend with.

Where's global warming when you need it?

South London was under 2" of snow, But the salting of the roads meant it looked do-able. I could possibly have taken the bike in but was already due to take the train today anyway, we'll see about tomorrow

Nope, didn't go in either. As i said in Idle banter... roads round the estate were icy and didn't want to go to work, have it snow whilst i am there and have trouble getting home, decided it wasn't worth it. Boss was really understanding.

It keeps snowing on and off here. Lupo's been out chasing snowflakes lol, even he's slipped over a few times on the ice in the garden... it's official, dog's don't have 4 wheel (leg) drive hehehe

sounds like a few kids are off today too as they are all out playing in the field opposite.

I did and managed to drop the bike in the snow before we reached the main road. We were OK once we made it to the A13 heading into London. The commute took longer this morning because there seemed to be loads of traffic all the way to Cannon Street.

i rode in. Wasnt too bad even tho my area was like a blanket of white.

I did worry how i'd oush the bike out to the road from where it lives in back garden but that too was easy enough. Way home may be a bit more iffy so slow and steady is my plan. Just hope it dont snow on the way home tho.

Well I was already out and about at 0300 when it started, and I was amazed how quickly the big main roads in north London became ice rinks. The A1 and A41 in Mill Hill and Edgeware were a bit of a disaster and there was a car in the barriers on the Barnet Way by 0500.Then the gritters got out and cleared things pretty well by the rush hour.I try to avoid using the bike in snow.
