I'll get another one organised soon John. Hope you had a good day out today.

Why do I have to work? Why hasn't the life of leisure promised to me by the Blue Peter Millennium Special programme of 1976 materialised?

Looked like a cracking ride, that.

It was a really enjoyable ride Craig.

One of the advantages of being self employed is that I can take a day off when I want and make it up at some other point.

The disadvantage is that I will probably always be poor!

I'm also in the small business / no company pension zone, so I hear you

90,000 miles is quite something though, isn't it? And the bike looks great on it too. A credit to Suzuki and its owner.

Yup, no company pension, no sick or holiday pay, but the freedom to steal a day off mid week when I want (and finance permits).

Nicest bike I have ever owned. I've done no more than basic servicing and kept it reasonably clean. It is a testament to Suzuki's design and the general toughness of the bike.

Yes, the SV is pretty much perfect for me. Having moved from a K6S to an AL7, all of the SV's best qualities are still there in spades. The latest tweaks to the engine (plated bores, coated pistons, revised flywheel weights, revised head design, new injectors etc) have subtly improved pretty much everything, all through the rev range.

The only downside is the brakes, the ABS plumbing has removed some of the initial bite. You quickly get used to just having to squeeze the lever a bit harder. However, this might have been fixed with the 2019-on bikes, as they've now got 4-pot calipers
