Default Calling all TV aerial experts

Morning OMO.

Just moved house this weekend and TV has no signal. Nothing sweet FA.
Our house has two external aerials, one on the original building, one on the extension. I have tried both, with two telly's with two cables.
Even a basic booster. Nadda.

When we viewed the house they were in watching TV, no idea why it's not working.

Help. Kids going wild without TV. Wife not too happy either.
I'm too busy moving / building stuff to have noticed yet.

Anybody have an idea, unfortunately I don't own a big bugger ladder. Yet.

Check in the attic. There might have been a booster/splitter there before which might be missing or unplugged. Check in cupboards too

Same with my parents place. Prev owners had a feck off huge one in the loft which gave brilliant reception. They took it with them.

The standard one on top of the house is utter ****e though.

Ain't got round to trying to get a decent one installed yet

definitely get in the loft to look for boosters assuming the aerial cables aren't on the outside wall but inside it.

Well I crawled around in the loft, god damn there's a lot of insulation up there!!
Found multiple cables most of which were running under said insulation! Itchy arms today.
There were about 4 cables some brown some white, all seemed to either disappear into walls or down into the ceiling. No sign of any unplugged or a missing booster, randomly there was no sign of them being connected to each other either. Will have another look - I only had time to look in the main part of the loft, tonight I'll try the extension as one of the aerials goes in there too.

If that fails to I'll have to put my hand in my pocket and fork out more money I don't have right now, moving house costs more than I remember.

PS I hate loft insulation, after spending the best part of a day doing my previous house - horrible stuff. If you lay it for a living I salute you, your a crazier ******* than I am.

The old glass fibre stuff is truly horrible. I have done two lofts in recent years using rockwool and that stuff is much better to lay.

Can you track the cables from the Aerial? Find out where that one goes?
