think about why pointy owners adjust the TPS... same effect gets worse with worn chain sprockets. keeping the rear wheel in 'drive' by not shutting the throttle fully lessens the effect of backlash on the chain. this results in less noise from chain and a smoother ride.

Thanks again the suggestions
I'm Changing the oil filter tomorrow so will triple check the chain alignment & also soak the chain in the old oil. If I can get this fixed It would be such a relief The engine braking of the V-Twin is one of the things that like about the SV, so I'm definitely using all the gears prior to stopping. No block changes or coasting to the line here. |
