Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
The forks are er... forked. I'm currently deciding whether to replace front end with stock or GSXR it. Or break for parts. Depends on how the insurance goes really cos I'm TPO.
I can see the insurance question: how much is it worth? "Well it had brand new fork seals..."

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
If you are TPO who's fault was it?

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
I dunno yet. I definitely had a momentary lapse of good observation, judgement and skill, but does that make it my fault?
Dare I post the footage?

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
Ouch, I like the little profanity as you stood up. Can't work out who is at fault but at least you had footage. The minibus did appear from nowhere but someone is probably going to say you should have been pre-empting it.

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
if the stanchions have a slow bend with no creases then you can get them straightened.

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
I find it mad that you can get bent stanchions straightened, you would think they would be weakened by being bent then straightened

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
thats why they only do non creased stanchions and if the chrome is cracked then they will say no as well.

Re: Forks aren't so smooth after rebuild
Ah I see, do they put them through rollers repeatedly?
