Default Show us your workspace...

Hey, I figured it was about time I sorted out my garage and turned it into a more comfortable workspace.

I had a budget of £200- then spent half of it on a new engine... I am not even a little bit sorry! So I did this transformation on almost no money and I am so pleased at the result.

If you have a few mins, please add your workspace picture- I would love to see other ideas!!

On bare block work or stonework I find the best result is one coat of matt, followed by one of silk. The matt gives a more opaque finish, and the silk gives a surface that's easier to keep clean. White walls make a big difference in a workshop.

Yep, got them, loads of lights and a nice comfy big bike lift. No more aching back. Double garage with bikes one side and workshop the other. Having said that, I am so past wanting to work on bikes - I just want to ride them. Champagne taste but beer budget!

Not a great pic but you get the idea.

We moved not long ago and this garage was divided into three-parts as the previous owner had a drum kit in so he sound proofed it. I took the outer partition wall down leaving me the front part for my bikes and behind the inner door is the rest of the single garage. Just a smallish box room really with tools and cycles etc in. I think I'll actually just leave it as it is and paint the walls and install proper lighting, probably change the door as its knackered and frogs etc can get in! It will be coming down in a few years a driveway will extend to the rear of the garden and a workshop will be built there.

Love your set up, very nice, and am looking forward to more videos.

Tasmen, is that all you've got, a sink and a work bench with a few tools?

I've got those too, plus 2 fridge freezers, an oven, an induction hob, plus a load of storage cupboards, oh and a train set
