Default How Do I Derestrict My SV

Hey my 2yrs are finally up and its time to derestrict my curvy SV, i know it has the F1 kit in it, which are plates in the carbs, so how easy is it to remove them myself? As i dont wanna wait for a shop to do it. Any help welcome, thanks in advance.

have a look at
http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...ght=derestrict

it will be similer but you dont have to remove the slides, just the carbs and the washer should be easly seen.

ps. if and when you do it can you take a pic of how your washers were fitted and i can update the article.

hey, undo the clips holding the carbs down, (after taking off airbox and other attached ****e), pull carbs upwards evenly, you will see the washers if the f1 kit as you mentioned, take the washers out, then push the carbs back down. You may find it a tad easier doing the front one first, also using a slight smear of wd40 on the rubbers, makes it a tad easier.

I will post pics of mine when I have it apart again.
