Default Croft Trackday - 20th July -video of the SV

Today at Croft, the SV in action again, thanks to WRC63 for taking the footage on my camcorder, and note at 1min20 ish I was giving that old red Honda lots of room, he was v.timid!

The SV was fun again:

Clearly, whoever shot that footage was an excellent videographer!

Some good stuff there... amongst the rubbish. Shall try harder next time!

You're right about the guy on the old VFR, he was slooooow. Although oddly enough, not as slow as super-trick-R1 guy.

I know a song that would go great with this:

"Montage", as sung in the film "team america, world police"

It all looked fairly sedate and quite inviting actually, are all track days like this?

Yep most of the ones I've been on have been pretty well behaved wrt overtaking safely etc (apart from one in France), for example letting the steady guy get through the hairpin before overtaking him etc. And remember this was the novice group, inters and advance were really moving. Croft is also quite a long circuit 2+ miles so we got reasonably spread out, apart from the first session after lunch where we had another couple of sighting laps behind the instructors, after another lap or so I got to the hairpin and it looked like there were 20 bikes going round, but apart from that the traffic was fine.

When you're out on the bike it feels a lot quicker, especially when you're braking, changing gear, heaving the bike over and trying to position yourself with other riders. Great fun and definitely worth doing as soon as you can.

I prefer longer tracks as well. Places like Lydden, Brand Indy and Mallory are all around/just over the 1 mile mark. With groups usually being around the 30/40 rider mark, it can get pretty crowded and gets very frustrating unless you are riding amongst similar paced riders.
