Who is/was in the Armed Forces?
Hi,
I have been on here for just a short time now but have started to notice that a few of us on here are/were in the Armed Forces. I am just curious to see who is, what rank, what service, and what regiment/squadron/corps we have on here? I was in the RAF, had been for 20 years. I was a loadmaster on retirement at RAF Lyneham (C130 Hercules) as a Flight Sargeant in 47sqn. I have also in my career worked at RAF Benson with the Pumas of 33sqn and at RAF Odiham with the Chinooks of 18sqn and 27sqn. |

RAF Supplier
Feb 81 to Feb 95 81-84 Leeming 84-87 431MU Bruggen 87-90 Cranwell (With two tours to Falkland Islands) 90-92 TSW Stafford (Numerous detatchments all over Northern Ireland) 92-95 West Drayton/Uxbridge Got to Cpl in 90 but got Court Martialled in 95 and left as an SAC (  )

RAF 76-86
Joined up as a rigger, failed the course,became an MT driver 77 - 80 kinloss 80 - 84 wilderath 84 - 85 cranwell 85 - 86 molesworth, bought meself after 10 years, where after a brilliant military carreer I rose to the rank of SAC

Joined the Royal Marines as a runt, made it through to a Corporal with three combat tours. Side lined into the Special Boat Service, active service for over ten years and rose to the rank of Colour Sergeant and became a Sqn NCO.
Today I am in the same place, still a CSgt but due to injuries I am no longer active and specialise in weapons, CQB, and CT instructing. |

Army - Royal Signals
RTG - Cream of the Corps (First female in the British Army to pass) No wise cracks Neio if you read this  .Globe Trotting with 30 Sig Regt (similar to RAF TCW), travelled the world on Operations and Exercises. Loved it!! Out now and contracting for BT on Defence Telecommunications Projects (DFTS, I won't mention DII(F) LMAO) |
