M25 direction advice please
Heading from midlands to Dover next Wed (18th) on the bike, getting to Dover around midday so negotiating M25 around 10am ish.
Those in the know, would you suggest M40 then anti-cw past Heathrow or M1 and cw to Dartford? I've done both before, there's negligible difference in miles, just depends on local road conditions, roadworks etc. Tips muchly appreciated.

Re: M25 direction advice please
I used to run continental at one time, from Reading admittedly, and would always go via the M25 anti clockwise, theres not much in it milage wise but always seemed a little easier.

Re: M25 direction advice please
Id avoid the M1 as there are roadworks from Luton down to the M25 with a 50 limit and can be very slow going.

The Dartford bridge is scary. Good reason to go the other way

Re: M25 direction advice please
I like the bridge! Especially going through the tolls free
Ah yes, the roadworks at the ar$e end of the M1, now I remember. Concensus seems to be anti-cw, so M40 it is then. Cheers all.
