Well went for a little ride to see how the arm is before i head up north on the bike on wednesday, Its still a little sore but manageable (just). The new rear shock seems to make a fair difference, the bike seems to soak up bumps alot better and i don't know if its just because i haven't ridden for a while but it seems more eager to turn in and just that little bit more nimble. Going to get some front springs ordered and fitted as soon as i finish the course i'm on i think. Should feel like a new bike after that.

Roundabouts are good for honing cornering skills, and i said i need to improve that part of my riding.

I got some more practice where you and Jeff went straight on and i went down the slip road to the roundabout, i took the wrong exit off of the roundabout and ended up on the same road i'd just left.

I proceeded along at a snails pace hoping i didn't catcth you up, not much chance, and gained some more cornering skills at the next roundabout,

All good fun.

I had another spell of droppyness today. Since I like to keep both the front and back of my numberplate clean I stripped the threads of the plastic bolts. I stuck clear silicone around them months ago for a temporary measure. Today I decided to replace one with a metal bolt and nut just to hold it a bit firmer.

A moped rider pointed to something behind me, so I looked behind and my first thought was that my indicator had dropped. They were both fine so I carried on, next a cruiser rider and pillion passed me and pointed to the same area. Had a proper check behind me and noticed my number plate was swinging in front of the exhaust starting to melt.

Took the numberplate off at the roadside and stuck it in my jacket and returned home. When I arrived at home I got some bigger bolts and 2 nuts this time, held firm for the hour or so I was out. When I got back home I noticed that one side both bolts had to started to undo, I can see why they use plastic bolts and nuts now.

Oops, my bad. I misread 'droppyness' as 'droopyness', bet you cant imagine the pictures I had in my mind!!

The sooner my neurologist gets on and does my lumbar puncture and restores my sight the better!!!

Also made my mind boggle wondering where you were to have a moped and cruiser nearby, forgotten what the throttles for??

I've not quite got to that age yet.

I have a perfectly valid excuse ready. I was in a 30 limit at the time.

Wonder if you can get Viagra for indicators and numberplates?!

Getting excited about my Blackpool trip now - we have a route marked out taking in the Cat and Fiddle and Snakes Pass - and any other twisty roads we can find on the way there and back - cant wait Did a burnout on my old BT021 as its going to get swapped for my BT021 spare that came off the Blackbird - found a place locally that will swap the tyres for £10 cash - bargain!
