Did 50 miles on it this afternoon on the most aggressive but still road legal knobblies (1" between each block!!) - no greenlaning though as I was with my two road biking buddies. Top speed is a heady 88mph on the off-road gearing

Loving it though Cant wait to fit the 17" wheels now

The S model has longer travel suspension, different gearing etc, so I'm interested what differences you find.

The way my diet is going (it aint) I would need a bigger bike anyway

A KTM 450 sixdays would be yummy, or even one of those nice 690 enduro's.....but I think I need to get the first ride sorted out proper first then see, I am getting rid of the SV, no amount of mods would make it what I want....great first bike but time to move on for me....

The new bike should be mine on Tuesday sometime....I test rode it last week and fell in love pretty much straight away

The SV is now gone and this has replaced it:


A wolf in sheeps clothing I think, it can pass as a nice sensible practical bike but if I twist I wet myself

I am truly happy with the bike, well worth the money if you want one bike that is fit for all purposes, I have the practical bike for long trips with lockable storage, car type power adapter (no din/hella one!) and great posture but if I want I can have a real good time on the back roads, the acceleration is great

So....what do you reckon replace the black spoilers (with the SMT logo on) with white or orange ones?

Tomorrow I fit the GPS and panniers and do some longer runs to get a feel of the bike for that role too. Today was basically me getting used to her and doing about 50 miles of going large on the throttle to get the right kind of wear etc....

Just keep those bits black. Looks alright how it is for an smt...

Yeah...I need to do a bit of photoshopping I think, you may well be right though...there's a nice black and white thing going on as it is

Thanks, I did try a triple, the tiger 800 and I didn't like revving it hard to get a lot from it...I love the low down torque and always will I think
