LEDs are getting better all the time, especially 'Luxeon emitter' types. They're excellent for torches etc but lack the sheer power and range to make them any good for headlights - unless you ride at walking pace.

Ok, the LED's are just going to be side-light - so there for people to see you, but not to light the road.

I would be concerned that the 2x20W jobbies are up to the task TBH, most of these streetfighter units are REALLY bad for that, bear in mind that the faired pointies are 2x55W (I believe), not sure about the nakeds.

Thats the real problem with many of these aftermarket bits - they look cool (and that does) but are hugely impractical.

But then you may only find out if you try it........

at this moment in time LED's are useless for main vehicle's lighting. great for side lighting though..

i reckoned so as i wouldnt normally put the words acerbis and good light output in the same sentence. product statement says 'exceptional visibility at night'.....not illumination

HIDs for headlamps = best light output

LEDs for sidelights = attention grabbing

Leds are definately being maximised as side lights atm as they can't previde enough projected light to be used as main lights. Look at cars like most of the new audis and Beemers and you'll see they all run strips of leds for sidelights but still use standard bulbs for main lighting.
