Default Helmets with that nose thingy in...

I bought my first bike recently, and at the same time bought a new lid. Went for it coz it was black more than anything, and a good price.

What I didn't realise was, it had a nose thingy in it, which kinda restricts my view a little bit.

Anyone else have one of these? What are your views on them? I guess they are meant to stop the visor misting up.

You'll probably find that it is removable
Both my lids have these, On my Shark RSX I have removed it cos it was annoying.
On my AGV TiTech I still have it in as it doesn't cause a problem vision wise (as it is only little).

What helmet is it you have ?

My old FM W10 had one and I've got a Foggy Respro fitted to my Roof.

I don't find they affected my vision as I either tend to look slightly up due to my crouched riding position.

They help with visor misting but don't stop it completely and I have to leave the visor slightly ajar.

Stop looking down your nose at people?

It's a Shark S800.

I have tried it without for a while, I will see how it goes.

i also have a shark s800 and i find it doesn't block my vision, what i do find is when in excess speeds of "cough" mph...i find that it strokes the end of my nose and makes it really itchy! it is removable but when you remove it....your visor tends to mist up!!

I have a Shark S800 and I have that little nose thingy in. I have always had it in and I don't have a problem with it.
I guess it is just personal preference.
