Here we go then, hope you're all sitting comfortably! I'm not putting them all up but just the best ones
At an empty Hawes, 8am! me being stupid Forth Road Bridge Quick lunch stop on the way up, mmmm homemade pasta We were the first to arrive at the campsite so we dumped the kit and pitched the tent, went off for another bit of a bimble, found this fella Then the orgers began to arrive and the fun began Quedos being naughty... Don;t think the gixxer was with us but heyho The spooky pub, definitely not a safe haven from the eeeeevil midges Luckypants demonstrating how to us a knife and fork to MattSV "Oi where you going with that cake?" the combats The Drovers do AMAZING puddings The Quiffster Speedyclaire doing her best to do an impression of a regal Scouser....a what you say? The lovely Quiff and Mand Claire's midgey-up-the-nostrils prevention device... Stuartyboy and Quedos having a moment So that was the first night. |

Re: So then, some GMIII piccies you say?
Now for the afternoon rideout
NB: i took this just as we were pulling away from traffic lights, no Pete is being deliberately holding up the car Bloke not with us but cool paintjob! At Glencoe Davenumbers Kilted Ginger then had to act as the traffic director... ...but needed to make himself more visible... Bus driver to LP: "Do they still let people your age on the road?" At Ballachulish A gaggle of bikers And then it all got a little bit confusing! So I just took some more piccies haha some hellyboppers Crowding round to find Stuartyboy's imaginary oil leak The lads thought they'd make the most of the break At Inverary, BlueFlame's ginger bike YC: "Eh...yer what? Nope mate still don't get ya...it's your Scottie language" BF: "Ayeeeeeeeee....eh....yer what?...Bloody Yorkshire folk..." Haggis Who's that pretending to be a gnome in the background there? |

Re: So then, some GMIII piccies you say?
Then a few of us decided to stay at Inverary for tea while the others headed back to the campsite
Our gorgeously filthy bike Duck tape holding up very well! Back at the campsite..the antics begin Quiff in his daft hat Quiff, meet Murphy! (Ralph's black Labrador...) I mean how could he be scared of this? Might have had something to do with Ralph and KG making the dog bark on command and hence scaring poor Quiff to death lol! Claire fending off the midges So this was Quiff trying to make himself less visible to Murphy... Don't know who's softer! These lads weren't drunk...at all! This is just cordial....honest 'occifer! "Idgosdfjasifhancva sfhaiosdh safdha dhfdu" MattSV, the ninja! KG eavesdropping at the door of the loveshack Trying to board up the psycho b1tch in the end chalet.... Going home |

Re: So then, some GMIII piccies you say?
So Sunday then. We were left to our own devices so we went for a bimble to Oban, then the road to Lochgilphead...turning off to go through Ford. Cracking run and the weather wasn't too bad either
Onto a single track road Then we got back and decided, being skinflints, we weren't going to pay another night at the campsite having found a lovely spot up the road to pitch up the tent, the Falls of Falloch What a gorgeous place you may think....yes gorgeous WHEN THERE IS A HOT SUN SHINING AND A BREEZE.... come back later at dusk and try put a bloody tent up.... SEEEE the midges! Things got bad... Last edited by missyburd; 01-07-10 at 05:24 PM. |

Re: So then, some GMIII piccies you say?
So the next morning....feeling a bit dejected after being eaten alive we joined Pete and Lissa, Davenumbers and Ravingdavis on the way up to Skye. We didn't fancy getting the Corran ferry so we went the long way round, up to the Skye bridge.
got caught on the way up though, like the waterproofs? So at Skye then (not many left now haha) Stunning place Bumped into the Quiffs and the MattSVs again Ooooh errr Portree YC offroading...who needs a KTM? hehe Hooded crows, love em Glenbrittle, gorgeous campsite....7 miles of single track to get to it mind but fantastic, worth it. The midgey massacre, think we should rename the rideout haha Awwwww thought we'd pass the time... the campsite The Rat, so many functions, see, drying rack! Dunvegan castle And the wobbly mirror... AND THAT'S ALL FOLKS! Think I might lie down now |

Reminds me how much I like Scottish roads, long time (25years) since I ventured up that far.
