Default Fuel tank breather blocked

Hey all, the fuel tank breather in the petrol cap is blocked on my 07 sv650. Ive taken the petrol cap apart and cleaned everythong twice but no joy. Any ideas if im missing something stupid?

Well, bike runs fine from startup for 10 mins or so. Then the tickover ggets rough and the engine starts to surge. If you then open the petrol cap it suddenly runs fine. So i presume thars the breather valve. Happy to be corrected though!

Do you have an inrush of air or difficulty in opening the cap when its doing this?

From the manual it looks like theres an air vent hose that runs from the filler and comes out the underside of the tank so maybe this is kinked or blocked....

That's not a breather it's a drain for the filler hole
