Re: Recommend me a campsite
I don't know about bikes, but I stayed on a campsite near Harlech, it was right up in the hills, magnificent views, and really quiet.
We just turned up and pitched. Pete Linky to map of site; http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=52.8...6,0.01369&z=17

Re: Recommend me a campsite
this is just 5 min walk from my house in the vilage of waenfawr, north wales.. http://www.snowdonia-park.co.uk/ they have a few bikers there over the summer months ,and just on the foot of snowdon, nice views at the moment, a bit of snow left on the mountains ,and good home made beer......seems a bit quiet there at the moment but will soon get buisy for easter holidays .....the food is ok but not the worst ive had .....but the youll have the glory of the welsh hills and roads to play with ..........

Again not sure if it's biker friendly but I love Shell Island, good sea views and views back to the mountains

Re: Recommend me a campsite
Thanks chaps, have sent e-mails to see if any accept well behaved bikers.
See what happens, may need options if these don't accept. |

Re: Recommend me a campsite
There used to be a good one in Llangollen but he sold the land for some eco huts. The only other one in Llangollen I can think of is the Abbey and that place is minging.
Theres a great big campsite at Bala which is brilliant though |
